Brian Christy began his career at the age of 16, while attending high school — he was hired as an apprentice designer at a national retail design firm and immediately fell in love with the art and science of retail design.

His passion led him to several firms, where he continued to hone his skills, not only in design, but also in the areas of product development, project management, décor and signage manufacturing, fixture manufacturing, installation, and construction management. He has worked with some of the nation’s most admired retailers and has been involved with thousands of store projects in nearly every line of retail, from convenience stores, supermarkets, and drugstores to specialty retail, big-box, and hardware stores.

Brian’s hard work, experience, creativity, and outstanding communication skills earned him such leadership roles throughout his career as director of design, vice president of manufacturing, vice president of operations, and president and COO before landing at Ruvela as president and CEO.

His accomplishments have been recognized by peers through several industry-related awards for outstanding store design, quality achievements, and supplier recognitions.
