Since 1979, Mike McTamney has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in operations, expense management, and property management with Pep Boys. In his current role as assistant vice president of property management, McTamney is responsible for store remodels, new store construction, facilities maintenance, and purchasing.

Pep Boys operates more than 590 stores in 36 states and Puerto Rico. The aftermarket retail and service chain is capable of serving all four segments of the automotive aftermarket: the do-it-yourself, do-it-for-me, buy-for-resale, and replacement tires. Pep Boys is currently in the process of completely remodeling its store and service departments with concept designs new to the automotive industry.
