The Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E., formerly NASFM) works closely with retailers and designers to evolve its programs and services. Tell us what type of information you would like to see
on our retail web pages in the future. Or if you have
a question about store fixtures, visual presentation, or retail design that we haven't
addressed here, e-mail us your question and we will
respond to you directly. And of course, if you see
something on these pages that you really like, let
us know that as well so we can continue to deliver
information that is important to you.

Retailers
This
year’s council of leading
retailers will help guide A.R.E.’s retail-focused
programs: the annual Retail Design Awards;
the buyers guide; the online database of retail environments
suppliers; the association’s
programming at retail events such as GlobalShop,
Shoptalks, and The NADI Retail Design Collective; A.R.E.'s web site for
buyers and specifiers; and
any future retail-oriented services and campaigns
directed at retail store planners, visual
merchandisers, and buyers.
The first meeting of the A.R.E. Retail
Council (then known as the NASFM Retail Council) was attended by five of its six charter
members on Feb. 3, 2000. Since then, the council has grown to 60 retailers, several of whom serve as Executive Committee members.

Designers
As store
planners increasingly look to A.R.E. as a one-stop
resource for their
retail environments needs, the association
is building a significant design community,
comprising key players in retail. Representating this stellar group,
A.R.E.'s Designers of Retail Environments
and Merchandising Team (DREAM
Team) helps the
association understand and address designers’ needs.
